About the Exhibition
Out of 1330 applicants from 71 countries, the 16 winners
of Nami Concours 2015 have the honor of being exhibited as part of the Nami
Island International Children’s Book Festival. The organizers hope that this exhibition will offer
visitors the opportunity to see at a glance what trends there are in picture
book illustrations.
In addition, with the winning works
displayed in a multi-dimensional manner, the organizers hope that visitors will
be able to experience the artistry of these outstanding illustrations in a way
that breaks down language and cultural barriers. Visitors should feel that they
are “in the books.” A child should be able to become the “hero” of the story. Adults
should be inspired to return to the innocence of childhood and become friends
with children. All should feel as if they are embarking on a journey to a fairy
tale world. In the end, the purpose of the Nami Concours 2015 Winning Works
Exhibition should be an unforgettable experience for both children and
adults.
제2회 나미콩쿠르 수상작품展 이번 ‘제2회 나미콩쿠르 수상작품展’은 16명 수상 작가의 작품을 국내에 처음 소개하는 자리입니다. 71개국으로부터 1천3백여 명이 응모한 가운데 영예를 차지한 이 작품들은 수상작이라는 차원을 넘어 각 나라와 대륙, 나아가서는 세계 그림책 일러스트레이션의 트렌드를 한눈에 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다. 언어의 장벽을 뛰어넘어 그림만으로 이야기를 전할 수 있는 그림책 일러스트레이션의 특징을 살린 이번 전시는 입체적인 전시방식을 통해 관람객이 책 속에 들어온 듯한 즐거움을 선사합니다. 아이는 전시 작품을 보는 동안 동화 속 주인공이 되고, 어른은 동심으로 되돌아가 아이의 친구가 될 수 있습니다. 책 속 이미지가 현실 속에서 구현되어 동화나라로 여행을 떠나는 이번 전시는 아이와 어른 모두에게 잊지 못할 소중한 경험이 될 것입니다.
